Darin Corbin : Happiness To Homeless To Hellacious

Once Darin Corbin won the American Championship, a love story began to develop. Seen all over Sin City, their "relationship" seemed to be budding week after week on episodes of Paragon Pro Wrestling. As soon as "The Vampire Warrior" Gangrel upended Corbin for the championship, things went downhill quickly. The proverbial penthouse to outhouse story unfolded.
Corbin began spending his time around dumpsters on the outskirts of Sam's Town Casino with the likes of his new friends, including Leaky Steve. With continuous motivational words from interviewer Pat Kelley, Corbin began to crawl back to the top. Now officially residing at the underpass of I-15 and Sahara, the former American Champion began racking up wins and much needed momentum. This landed Corbin a coveted spot in the tournament to crown a brand new American Champion, and the possibility to become the first ever two-time champion and reunite with his former love.
After knocking off James "Rude Boy" Riley by countout in the quarterfinals, the table was set for Corbin to do battle with Wes Brisco for a chance at the finals. After a back and forth affair, Corbin nailed a Ginger Snap for the 1-2-3 and one step away from the title. Just before that final round, Darin received some last words of encouragement from Pat Kelley. Corbin marched down that ramp and gave it 100% against Royce Isaacs. With a little assistance from "The Producer" Christian Cole, Isaacs powerbombed his way to the American Championship. The miracle run came up just short. After the conclusion of the match, Pat Kelley came down to the ring to console Corbin. This is where we saw a side of Darin that we had never seen before. He completely turned on Pat, dropping him to his knees and shoving a cheeseburger down his throat. And then in a completely despicable act, Corbin poured a bottle of water on his fallen mentor. This 180 degree turn in personality has signaled a new era for Darin Corbin. It's no longer about reuniting with the American Championship. It's about blazing a trail of destruction through Paragon Pro Wrestling. Stay tuned to see how far Darin Corbin pushes this envelope with this new attitude.
